Dr. Ahmad Hassan is a double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. With advanced fellowship training from UT Southwestern Medical Center, residency experience at Maimonides Medical Center, and psychoanalytic training through NYU, Dr. Hassan offers expert, lifespan-focused psychiatric care tailored to each individual and family.

Serving as Medical Director of Emergency Psychiatry Services, Dr. Hassan excels in guiding patients through complex, high-stress situations with calm, clear expertise. He works closely with your broader care team — including primary care doctors and therapists — to ensure unified, supportive treatment.

Dr. Hassan combines thoughtful medication management with CBT-informed psychotherapy and family interventions. His goal is to provide a grounded, compassionate environment where you and your family feel heard, supported, and equipped with practical strategies for lasting healing.

Dr. Hassan is fluent in English and Arabic, allowing him to connect directly with patients and families across a range of backgrounds.

Dr. Mohammed F. Rahman is a psychiatrist dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care for adults. His approach is grounded in the belief that effective psychiatric treatment begins with understanding the whole person — not simply a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. He takes the time to understand each patient's history, concerns, goals, relationships, and life circumstances before developing a treatment plan tailored to their individual needs.

Dr. Rahman completed his psychiatry residency at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by an advanced fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at NYU, with clinical training at NYU, Bellevue Hospital, and the Manhattan VA. This training gives him particular expertise in the assessment and treatment of substance use disorders and the psychiatric conditions that frequently intersect with addiction. He also provides comprehensive care for a broad range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and other complex mental health conditions.

He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, Associate Program Director of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and Director of the Addiction Consult Service at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

His clinical style is collaborative, evidence-based, and personalized. When medication is appropriate, he focuses on thoughtful prescribing and careful follow-up rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. He also recognizes that medication is only one component of psychiatric care and works with patients to develop treatment strategies that reflect their individual goals and values.

Dr. Rahman is fluent in English, Spanish, Hindi, and Urdu, allowing him to connect with patients across a range of backgrounds and languages.
