Substance use rarely happens in isolation. We evaluate substance use together with mood, anxiety, ADHD, trauma and other concerns so that treatment addresses the full picture.

The initial evaluation
The first visit is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation of up to 60 minutes in a non-judgmental setting. We review your history, goals and current situation, and agree on a plan together.

Treatment
Care is collaborative and paced to you. It may include medication management, coordination with counselors or recovery programs, and ongoing follow-up visits.
If you need a higher level of care than outpatient treatment can safely provide, we will tell you and help you find it.
Harbor Road Psychiatry is an out-of-network practice. We provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer; reimbursement depends on your plan. As a group practice, our psychiatrists cover for one another, so your care continues if your psychiatrist is unavailable.
